Mia “MiMi J” Johnson was born on May 6th in Kansas City, Mo. As a child, she showed a strong interest in expressing her creativity through the arts. Her artistic ability was exhibited in her adolescent years during the American Royal festival where she won third prize. She eventually moved on to her high school years where she found a creative outlet in a studio art class. This course would open her mind up to all of the possibilities of artist careers. MiMi later relocated to Atlanta, GA to attend Clark Atlanta University on a full academic scholarship, pursuing Marketing for her Bachelor’s degree.

MiMi kept her creative spirit alive through the years by continuing her passion for art through the world of beauty. She has successfully positioned herself as an accomplished artist, brand influencer and beauty professional.  She’s worked on shows such as Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta and VH1′s Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, and has worked with celebs such as Kenya Moore, Angela Simmons.  Her work has been featured in various magazine/blogs such as Essence, Runway, Sister 2 Sister, and Jezebel.  She’s successfully launched three businesses; P3 Lab, apparel line and youtube channel Beat & Snatched, and her latest makeup store The Glamatory. Over the years, she has traveled and undertook art/design classes at the Art Institutes as well as undergoing makeup training from various industry leaders such as MAC, Laura Mercier, Temptu, Makeup Forever, and L’Oreal.

MiMi not only has a passion for art and entrepreneurship, but also a desire for helping women and young girls. She enjoys mentoring young girls and speaking to children about career development through organizations such as Junior Achievement and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.. She co-produces an annual event called Naturally Pretty, which benefits the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children. Overall, MiMi desires to continue growing in the beauty industry and become one of the “go to” beauty experts of her generation.
